Mother of Mrs. Kirby Fowler Succumbs

Mrs. Allie L. Eckard, 69, of Rt. 1, Colfax, died in an Alexandria hospital
December 13.  She was the mother of Mrs. Kirby Fowler of Joyce.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at the Georgetown Baptist Church
with burial in the Rakestraw Cemetery, under direction of Hixson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Eckard also leaves two other daughters, Mrs. Clyde Simmons of Joaquin,
Texas and Mrs. Elmo Brunson of Colfax; one son, Albert Eckard of Clofax; nine
grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
