Officiating was Rev. Troy Patrick. Burial followed in the Twin Cities Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Mrs. Edgington, age 69, of West Monroe, died Thursday, December 19, 1996 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Edgington was the daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. Alwin Stokes of Winnfield. She was a retired Louisiana state employee with over 20 years service. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution as well as the Sons of Confederate Veterans. Mrs. Edgington was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will truly be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Robert Cagle Edgington of West Monroe, La.; three sons, Keith Edgington of West Monroe, La., Neil Edgington and his wife, Evonne of Belleview, NE, and Tim Edgington of New London, TX; one daughter, Ann Edgington Patrick and her husband Larry of Plano, TX; one brother, Dr. George Stokes of Natchitoches, LA; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
