Edwards, 32, his wife, Mrs. Lougenia Edwards, and their eight year old son, Ronnie, of LaPlace, La., died Friday of last week when their car was engulfed with flames fed by fuel spewed from a jacknifing tractor-trailer truck on the mile long Bonnet-Carre Spillway bridge in St. Charles Parish. The Edwards family lived in the Hudson community for about three years and Mr. Edwards was known over the parish where he sold cookware. Mrs. Edwards was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Carruth, and the granddaughter of Mrs. Ethel Trucks, all of the Hudson community, Winn Parish. Mr. Edwards was the minister of the Arabi, La., Assembly of God Church. Final rites were conducted in the Luna Assembly of God Church, West Monroe, with burial in the church cemetery Monday. They are also survived by an 11 year old daughter, DeJuana, who will now make her home with an uncle, Audie Edwards, in West Monroe; and by a 10 year old son who will now make his home with his aunt, Mrs. Kay Lawrence of West Monroe.
