Colored Deaths

Willie Mary Edwards To Be Buried Oct. 16

Willie Mary Edwards, 73, died at a Winnfield hospital at 10 a.m. October 9,
1960.  She had been a resident of Route 3, Winnfield for 51 years and was a
consecrated member of the Oak Ridge Baptist Church of Ward Eight.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 16, at 2 p.m. at the Oak Ridge
Church, with the Rev. John Booker, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in the
church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. W. D. Edwards; and 11 children: K. C. and
Tom Edwards of Winnfield, Vergie Johnson of Bastrop, Hoover Edwards of
Shreveport, A. Z. Edwards, Tereatha West, and Ruth Davis, all of Richmond,
Calif., and John Edwards of Eugene, Oregon.
