Mrs. James S. Eagles Succumbs In Shreveport

Funeral services for Mrs. James S. Eagles, about fifty years of age, who died
suddenly Wednesday night from an emergency operation at a Shreveport hospital
where she was carried last Monday were held at the family residence, two miles
from here on the Atlanta highway Thursday afternoon.  Interment was in the
Winnfield Cemetery.

Mrs. Eagles was before her marriage Miss Lucy Porter.  She is survived by her
husband, two daughters, Ms. Wallace Jenkins and Mrs. Johnny Wilson; four sons,
James, Edward, Murphy, and Clifton, all of Winnfield; one sister, Mrs. Callie
Porter, and two brothers, Jeff Porter and Albert Porter.
