Winnfield Die Within Two Days Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Elam Are Victims of Pneumonia Mrs. J. B. Elam, 61, died at her home in South Winnfield Friday following an illness of one week with pneumonia. Funeral services were held from the family residence Saturday with Rev. Alwin Stokes, Presbyterian minister, officiating. Two days later on Sunday, her husband, Mr. Elam, succumbed from pneumonia and last rites were conducted at the Presbyterian Church with Rev. Alwin Stokes holding the services on Monday afternoon. Mr. Elam had no surviving relatives. Mrs. Elam is survived by one brother, Frank Myrick of El Dorado, Ark., and one sister, Mrs. Homer Cleary of Winnfield and the following nieces and nephews: Mrs. Lloyd Carroway, Carlie May Myrick, Jack Myrick of Winnfield; Mrs. Eldon Shepard, Mrs. J. C. Foster, Mrs. Eddie Reynold, Miss Verdie Myrick, all of El Dorado, Ark.; Mrs. Baisel Myrick, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Weeks of Winnfield, a great niece. The following cousins of Atlanta also survive, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Price, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Price, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Plunkett, Mrs. Ace Bell, and Mrs. Lester Dickerson.
