Leon M. Ellis of Dodson Dies; Buried Tuesday

Funeral services for retired M/Sgt. Leon M. Ellis, 64, of Dodson, were held
Tuesday at 2 p.m. in a funeral home chapel in Jonesboro.  The Rev. Edgar
Gunter and the Rev. Edgar Knapp officiated.  Burial was in the Antioch
Methodist Cemetery in Winn Parish.

He died Sunday night at his home after a brief illness.  He had served for 26
years with the U. S. Marines.

Survivors include three brothers, E. R. Ellis of El Dorado, Ark., Warren Ellis
of Sterling, Colo., and Herman Ellis of New Orleans; and one sister, Mrs. John
Durbin of Dodson.
