J. J. Ellerbee, Sikes Native, Dies July 5

J. J. Ellerbee, 75, died Monday, July 5, in the home of a son in Tallulah,
after a lengthy illness.  He was a retired farmer, a Mason, and a native of
Sikes.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Sikes Baptist Church with the
Rev. Clyde Parker officiating.  Burial was in the Sikes Cemetery under the
direction of Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Estelle Underwood Ellerbee; one son,
Jack Ellerbee, of Tallulah; three brothers, John Ellerbee, Columbia,
Heber Ellerbee, Dallas, Tex., and Walter Ellerbee, Shamrock, Texas; one
grandchild.
