Emerson Dies; Services Held Saturday Mrs. Harriett K. Emerson, 69, of Winnfield died Thursday, August 30, 1973 at her residence. Widow of the late John S. Emerson, she was a member of the Methodist Church and a native of Chicago, Illinois. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel with Father R. V. Lawrence officiating, assisted by Rev. Jack H. Midyett. Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery near Winnfield. Survivors include two sons, Dr. Samuel M. Emerson of Lake Charles and James Hall Emerson of Winnfield; one daughter, Miss Mercedes C. Emerson of New Orleans; one brother, Edward Krizman of Chicago, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Belza of Brookfield, Ill., and Mrs. Marian Habal of Chicago, Ill.; five grandchildren. Pallbearers, nephews of the deceased, were Morris Crawford, Harvey Hugh Emerson, George Emerson, Tommy Emerson, Duke Belza, and R. A. Moon.
