D. Emmons Funeral Held At Sikes Saturday Funeral services were held at the Sikes Baptist Church Saturday at 10 a.m. for Mrs. L. D. Emmons, who died February 16 at Alexandria. She was born January 22, 1876 and was 74 years and 25 days old. She was a member of the Sharon Baptist Church, having joined that church when she was a young girl. Rev. A. D. Murray, pastor of the Sikes Baptist Church, had charge of funeral services. Burial was in Sikes Cemetery. Southern Funeral Home were the undertakers in charge of burial. Mrs. Emmons is survived by one son Ira Campbell, of Alexandria; eight grandchildren, Mrs. Postal White, Jr. of Port Arthur, Texas, Mrs. Leonard Rachal of Alexandria, Edwin Campbell of Lake Charles, Eldridge Campbell of Texas, Ellis Campbell of Port Arthur, Texas, Barrett and Bobbie Campbell of Alexandria, and Farrell Campbell with the army stationed in Alaska; four great grandchildren and two half sisters, Mrs. Sadie McDade of Joyce and Mrs. Ella Red of El Dorado, Arkansas. Pallbearers were H. C. Thompson, L. W. Gulledge, Harmie Forrest, Archie Crawley, J. D. Thornton, and C. H. Crain.
