He had been in ill health for more than one year. Funeral services are tentatively scheduled for Saturday at 10 a.m. at Wright Cemetery near Sikes. Rev. John Kitchenham of Columbia is to conduct the funeral, with burial under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Mr. Erskins was a native of Winn Parish and had lived here all his life. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mae Erskins of Sikes, five daughters, Mrs. Effie McDaniel of Deweyville, Texas, Mrs. Ethel Parker of Sikes, Mrs. Florence Parker of Jonesboro, Mrs. Tony Catnese of Shreveport, Mrs. Johnny Cicero of Shreveport; three brothers, Waymon Erskins of Sikes, Junior Erskins of Winnfield, and Ralph Erskins of California; and 19 grandchildren.
