Mrs. Erskins, 87, Succumbs; Rites Wednesday

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Hart Assembly of Got
Church near Sikes for Mrs. Mae S. Erskins, 87, of Sikes, who died Monday, June
28, 1976 in a local hospital after a lengthy illness.  Mrs. Erskins was a
native of Winn Parish and a member of Hart Assembly of God Church.

Officiating were the Revs. Huey White, Lonnie Fogger, and Robert Gage.  Burial
was in the Wright Cemetery in Sikes under the direction of Southern Funeral
Home of Winnfield.

Survivors include three sons, Ralph Erskins of Urania, Waymon Erskins of
Sikes, and Crawford Erskins, Jr., of Winnfield; five daughters, Mrs. B. E.
McDaniel, Mrs. Lawrence Parker and Mrs. Alvis Parker, all of Sikes, and Mrs.
Myrtis Catanese and Mrs. Bertie Cicero, both of Shreveport; 27 grandchildren,
46 great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
