Brother of Monroe Erskins Dies In Monroe

George W. Erskins, 97, of Monroe, died Sunday in a Monroe hospital after a
long illness.  He was the brother of Monroe Erskins of Sikes.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. with burial following in the
Sharon Cemetery at Sikes.

Survivors include one brother, Monroe Erskins of Sikes; one sister, Mrs.
Emma Hatten of West Monroe; six grandchildren, William B. Erskins, Artie
Erskins, both of New York, N. Y., Mrs. Diane Norris of New Orleans, Mrs. James
Clark of Shreveport, Mrs. Harley Beagle of Atlanta, and Mrs. Margie Burks of
Fort Worth, Texas.
