All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: August 28, 1930 Winn Parish Enterprise Miss Ethel Boyett Buried At Zion Hill Saturday Teacher in Winn Parish Schools Died In New Orleans Sanitarium After Long Illness Funeral services for Miss Ethel Boyett, 29 years old, who died in a New Orleans Sanitarium, Thursday afternoon, August 22, 5:50, after an illness of seven months duration, were held at Zion Hill Saturday morning. The Rev. Joe Adams, of Sikes, pastor of the Zion Hill Church, had charge of the services. A large concourse of relatives and friends attended the last rites. The deceased was the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Jasper Boyett of Route Three, Winnfield. She was born and reared in that community. Miss Boyett was a graduate of the State Normal College, and had been a teacher in the schools of Winn Parish five or six years. Surviving are her parents and the following brothers and sisters: Hardy Boyett of Oklahoma; Lewis, Odus and L. E. of Winnfield; Mrs. Della Brassier, Pineville; Mrs. Audie Hughes, Taylor, Ark.; Mrs. Evie Nollie, Dallas, Texas; and Mrs. Myrtle Holmes, Jonesboro, La., and a large number of relatives in the parish and state. Among the out of town relatives and friends attending the funeral of Miss Ethel Boyett at Zion Saturday were: Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Nolly, Dallas; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Holmes, Jonesboro; Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Brashier, Alexandria; Mr. and Mrs. Frances Hughes, Magnolia, Ark.; Mrs. J. T. Sanders, Smackover, Ark.; Mr. and Mrs. Horrie Boyett, Columbia; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Norwood, Harrisonburg; Mrs. Lillie White of Baskin; Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Boyett, Rochelle.
