For several years Mr. and Mrs. Evans were residents of our town and because of her unusually winning personality Mrs. Evans endeared herself to the people here. She was very active in church work, being a loyal member of the Baptist Church, and her devotion to the church and the causes it represents was beautiful. At the time of her death Mrs. Evans was 31 years, 8 months and 20 days old. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Selina and Eugenia, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Norman of Truscott, Texas; three brothers, Paul Norman of Holden Bill, Oklahoma; R. E. Norman of San Angelo, Texas; and John Norman of Midland, Texas; and one sister, Mrs. E. J. Nehery of Belcher. Funeral services for the deceased were conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, attended by hosts of sorrowing friends. The Order of the Eastern Star, of which she was a member, paid a lovely tribute to her memory at the Homer Cemetery where interment was made. Dr. and Mrs. P. J. Bumgardner and family attended the funeral, returning Sunday night.
