Horace E. Evans, Native of Winn, Dies in Alexandria

Horace E. Evans, 61, native of the Sardis community, died at his home, Route
2, Alexandria, Dec. 11, after a long illness.  Funeral services were held
Dec. 13, with the Rev. Leo Herbert officiating.  Burial was in the
Winnfield Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Fannie Evans, Alexandria; two daughters, Mrs.
Alma Lanier, Alexandria; Mrs. Thelma Volentine, Wisner; four sons, Otis, Lake
Providence, Kirby, Natchez, Miss., Willard, Alexandria, Autry, Longview, Tex.;
two brothers, Marhall, Alexandria, Ollie, Montgomery; two sisters, Mrs. Lottie
Brunch, Winnfield; Mrs. Martha Drewett, Montgomery.
