J. A. Evans, Former Winn Resident, Dies

J. A. Evans, 68, brother of Mrs. W. Poole of Winnfield, died at his home in
Orange, Texas, Sept. 11.  Funeral services were conducted last Saturday at 3
o'clock from a funeral home in Orange and burial was made in the Orange
Cemetery.

Born at Tunica, Winn Parish, La., Mr. Evans lived there until he was 16 years
old then he moved to Catahoula Parish and thence to Orange in 1913.

Surviving are his widow and three daughters; one sister, Mrs. W. Poole of
Winnfield; and one brother, Ibzan Evans of Aimwell, La.

Mr. and Mrs. W. Poole of Winnfield attended the last rites.
