Dec. 23 Charles Everett Eyer, 28, died late Monday afternoon in a Houston, Texas hospital after an illness of several months. Funeral services will be conducted at the First Baptist Church of Winnfield at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 1959, with the pastor, Dr. W. L. Holcomb, officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories under direction of Southern Funeral Home. A native of Winnfield, Mr. Eyer was the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Eyer of this city. He is a graduate of Winnfield High School and of Northwestern State College and prior to joining an oil firm in Pasadena, Texas, was an instructor at Winnfield High School. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving besides his parents are his wife, Mrs. Nelda Jenkins Eyer, also a native of Winnfield; and one sister, Mrs. Ruth Duncan of Vidor, Texas.
