Eyer, 72, Local Painting Contractor, Dies Emile C. Eyer, 72, local painting contractor, died in a local hospital at 5 a.m. Thursday, January 9, after a long illness. He was a native of Kansas City, Mo., but had spent most of his lifetime in Winnfield. Funeral services are scheduled to be held at 3 p.m. Friday, January 10, in the Chapel of Southern Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Garden of Memories cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Gertrude Eyer of Winnfield; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Duncan of Beaumont, Texas; one brother, F. J. Eyer of Baton Rouge; and four grandchildren. Among the out of town relatives and friends attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Keller of Bunkie; Terry Shipman of El Dorado, Ark., Mrs. Charles Hester and Mrs. Walter Wade of Jonesboro, Major and Mrs. C. E. Watson of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Thomas Plunkett of Montgomery.
