Former Winn Resident Dies In Sarepta, La.

William C. "Pete" Eagles of Sarepta, La., was found dead in his trailer home
Monday, October 30, 1968.

Funeral services were held in the Bailey Mortuary in Springhill, La., October
30, 1968 at 10 a.m. with interment in Welcome Cemetery in Arkansas.

The deceased was 74 years of age and a former resident of Winnfield where he
was employed by Tremont Lumber Company until his retirement.  He was the
brother of Mrs. Sarah Howard of South Winnfield and has a number of nieces and
nephews in Winn Parish.

Due to illness his sister was unable to attend services.

Mr. and Mrs. Seiss Nugent, Mrs. D. H. Nugent, Misses Patty and Kay Nugent, and
Miss Elizabeth Curse were among those in this area who went to Springhill
due to this sad occasion.
