Gaars Mill Native Dies

Miss Zattie Faith, 87, of Alexandria, died at 11:30 p.m. Thursday, August 24,
1972 in an Alexandria nursing home after a lengthy illness.

Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Zack Faith, early pioneer settlers of Gaars
Mill Community, Miss Faith was a retired registered nurse and will be
remembered here as the sister of the late Dr. J. F. Faith who practiced
medicine in Winn Parish for many years.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 26, at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel
of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Winnfield, with Rev. Mike Igo, pastor of
the Dodson Baptist Church, officiating.  Interment was in Harmony Grove
Cemetery, Gaars Mill.

Survivors include a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers included W. W. Dark, S. L. Garrett, Y. L. Dark, M. H. Sneed, Sr.,
Roy Sanders, and Edwin Gaar.
