H. "Kidd" Farr were held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 10, 1993, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Byrd Terry and Dr. Calvin Phelps officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Memories under the direction of Southern, Winnfield. Mr. Farr, age 80, died Wednesday, December 8, 1993, at 4:50 p.m. at Winn Parish Medical Center. Mr. Farr was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Northwestern State University and received a Masters Degree at Stephen F. Austin. Mr. Farr was coach at Merryville, La., a principal at Eastside Elementary and at Westside Elementary, Supervisor of Winn Parish Schools, and Superintendent of Winn Parish Schools. He was also a charter member of Winnfield Lions Club, a member of Retired Teachers Association, and a member of Eastern Star Masonic Lodge No. 151, F. & A. M. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Claudell Lovell Farr of Winnfield; one son, Col. Retired Herbert Monroe Farr of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one daughter, Claudia Ann Franks of Winnfield; and three grandchildren, Jennifer, Justin, and Jared. Pallbearers were Tim Gaar, Buddy Bates, Dickey Heard, Tommy Harrel, Sammy Brian, and Dennis Shell. Honorary pallbearers were Tommy Straughan, Tommy Bankston, Eugene Love, R. L. Terry, Freddie Bennett, Richard Cole, Don Turner, and Jim Wiley.
