Bain Ferrier, 48, Dies After Brief Illness

Floyd Bain Ferrier, 48, of Calvin, died early Wednesday, December 22, 1971 in
a Winnfield hospital following a brief illness.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Dorothy Ferrier of Calvin; five sons, Donald
Wayne Ferrier of Shreveport, Glenn Dale Ferrier of Morgan City, Roger Ferrier,
Rex Ferrier, and Ricky Ferrier, all of Calvin; a daughter, Mrs. Dottie 
Carpenter of Columbia; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd W. Ferrier of 
Montgomery; three brothers, Bryant A. Ferrier of Natchitoches, Warren Ferrier
and Lawrence Ferrier, both of Montgomery; three sisters, Mrs. Nora Lee
Sommons, Mrs. Monroe Dubois, and Mrs. Corral Perkins, all of Montgomery; and
five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Calvin Baptist Church
with Rev. Charles Thornton officiating.  Burial was in the Double Church
Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
