All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: November 10, 1938 Winn Parish Enterprise Last Rites For Charlie Felix Held Thursday Succumbed in New Orleans Following An Operation Last rites for Charlie Felix, 65, who died in New Orleans Wednesday following an operation, were held at the First Methodist Church here Thursday afternoon with the pastor, Rev. G. A. Morgan, officiating. Assisting with the services were Dr. B. C. Land and Rev. Alwin Stokes. Interment was in the Winnfield Cemetery. Mr. Felix was born and reared in Olaton, Kentucky. He moved with his family to Winnfield 31 years ago, residing here continuously since that time. He was widely known throughout this section, having for years operated a taxi service. During the past six or seven years he has been employed by the ERA and lately by the Louisiana and Arkansas Railway Company. He was a member of the local Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, two sons, Everett and Harry, and two daughters, Mary Elizabeth of Winnfield and Mrs. Lela Mae Culpepper of New Orleans. He also leaves a grandson, Billy Culpepper; a brother, Henry Felix of Olaton, Kentucky; a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Miller of Hartford, Ky., and a nephew, Earl Miller, of Alexandria.
