All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: April 17, 1941 Winn Parish Enterprise Death Claims Harry Felix At His Home Here Funeral Services Held Tuesday With Burial In Local Cemetery Harry Hallot Felix, 43 years and six months of age, died at his home here Monday, April 14, following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist church Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Alwin Stokes, pastor of the Presbyterian Church officiating. He was assisted by Rev. H. H. McBride, pastor of the Baptist Church. Interment was in the Winnfield cemetery. Acting as pallbearers were Shorty Frazier, Gammil Carter, Shirley Jackson, John W. Teddlie, Jr., Mallory Jenkins, and R. H. Smith. Mr. Felix, the son of Mrs. Lillie Felix and the late Charles Felix, had been a taxi driver in Winnfield since the age of 16 years. He was among the first persons to purchase a car in Winnfield for this purpose. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Lillie Felix, of Winnfield; two sisters, Mrs. C. S. Culpepper, New Orleans, and Mary Elizabeth Felix of Winnfield; and one brother, Everett Felix, of Winnfield.
