All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: January 8, 1942 Winn Parish Enterprise Heart Attack Is Fatal to Everett Daniel Felix Funeral Services Will Be Held Friday At 2:30 At Baptist Church Funeral services for Everett Daniel Felix, 47, who died from a heart attack while he was operating his taxi near here Wednesday afternoon at 4:30, will be held at the First Baptist Church, Winnfield, Friday at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Alwin Stokes, Presbyterian minister, will officiate. He will be assisted by the Rev. H. R. McBride and the Rev. H. B. Hysell. Interment will follow in the Winnfield Cemetery. Acting as pallbearers will be John W. Teddlie, T. E. Lacy, Louis Sholars, Ebb Machen, Bob Smith, and G. C. "Shorty" Frazer. Born in Olaton, Kentucky, Mr. Felix moved to Winnfield at the age of 12 years. He was the son of Mrs. Lillie Felix and the late Charles Felix. He was engaged in the taxi business in Winnfield for many years and was also assistant clerk at the highway department for several years prior to his death. He was a member of the Olaton,Ky., Baptist Church. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Lillie Felix, and two sisters, Mary Felix, Winnfield, and Mrs. C. S. Culpepper of New Orleans; his cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Miller of Alexandria.
