All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: January 3, 1957 Winn Parish Enterprise Mrs. Lillie Felix Succumbs; Buried In Local Cemetery Mrs. Lillie Felix, 81, a long time resident of Winnfield, died in a local hospital Saturday, Dec. 29, after an illness of several weeks. Funeral services were conducted at the First Baptist Church Monday, Dec. 31, at 10:30 a.m. with the pastor, Dr. W. L. Holcomb officiating. He was assisted by the Rev. Eugene Langford, pastor of Laurel Heights Baptist Church. Burial was in the Winnfield Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Acting as pallbearers were Ebb Machen, Shirley Jackson, Richard Heard, L. L. Brewton, Jr., Tommy Thomas, and Brooks Nicklas. A native of Olaton, Ky., Mrs. Felix had been a resident of Winnfield for more than 50 years. She was the widow of the late Charlie Felix, former deputy sheriff and marshal of Winnfield. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mary (Eddie) Parker of Winnfield and Mrs. Lela Mae (C. S.) Culpepper of New Orleans; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Ida Acton of Louisville, Ky.
