All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: November 21, 1946 Winn Parish Enterprise Last Rites Held For Mrs. Ferguson, Atlanta, Tuesday Funeral services for Mrs. Mamie Ferguson, 76, who died at her home in Atlanta Monday after a long illness, were held at the Atlanta Methodist Church Tuesday afternoon, with the Rev. Tilman Brown, the Rev. Mrs. Lula Wardlow, and the Rev. Eden officiating at the last rites. Interment was in the Atlanta Cemetery. A native of Jackson Parish, Mrs. Ferguson was before her marriage, Miss Mamie Boddie. Her husband, Jim Ferguson, preceded her in death by three years. She had been a member of the Methodist Church since early girlhood and had been a resident of the Atlanta Community for fifty some odd years. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. J. J. Bell, Atlanta, and Miss Margueritte Ferguson, Dallas, Texas; one grandchild, David Bell and one great grandchild, of Dallas.
