H. Ferguson Last Rites Were Held For "Buddy" Ferguson Sunday H. J. "Buddy" Ferguson, Jr., 17 years of age, son of H. J. Ferguson of Alexandria, and the late Mrs. Ruby Little Ferguson, died at the home of his great aunt, Mrs. C. M. Swanson, here at 3 a.m., Saturday, January 29, after a short illness. Funeral services were held from the First Baptist Church at 3 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Dr. B. C. Land, pastor, officiating, assisted by Rev. G. A. Morgan, pastor Methodist Church, and Rev. Alwin Stokes, pastor of Presbyterian Church. "Buddy" as he was known by the large circle of friends he had made during his short stay here since October, had been employed by the New Winnfield Drug Company until his health prevented. Pallbearers were John and Joe Emerson, A. L. Smith, Omar Machen of Springhill, Edward Gallion and James Scott. Survivors are his father, H. J. Ferguson, ans step mother, Mrs. Ferguson, and one brother, Henry, of Alexandria; two sisters, Marjorie Ferguson, Winnfield, and Mrs. Harvey Gainey, Baton Rouge; and his aunt, Mrs. C. M. Swanson, Winnfield.
