Rufus J. Ferguson Caught In Machinery Of Rig Dies

Rufus J. Ferguson, about twenty three years old, while working on drilling rig
of L. & A. No. 3 near Packton, was caught in the machinery someway last
Saturday afternoon and one limb wrenched from his body.  He was rushed to the
hospital in Alexandria where medical aid was given but to no avail.  He died
the following morning at fire o'clock.

The remains were taken to Ione, Ark., at which place live his relatives.
