Funeral Services For W. A. Ferguson Held On Sunday

Atlanta Man Dies At 87 In Shreveport Hospital


Funeral services for W. A. Ferguson, 87, of Atlanta, who died in a
Shreveport hospital Friday, were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Atlanta
Methodist Church, Rev. Tillman Brown of Montgomery, assisted by Rev. Lula
Wardlow and Rev. E. O. Brakman of the Atlanta Methodist and Baptist
Churches were in charge.

The deceased was born and reared in Winn Parish, and was a member of the
Atlanta Methodist Church.  He is survived by six nieces:  Mrs. J. J.
Bell, of Atlanta; Mrs. Nanie Luneau, of Alexandria; Mrs. Kate McCroskey,
of Houston, Texas; Mrs. Louella McMane and Mrs. Carrie Kelly of Pineville,
and Mrs. Margaret Ferguson of Dallas, Texas; a nephew, Garand Pharis, of
Pineville; several great-nephews and one great-great niece, Mary Margaret
Bell of Atlanta.
