D. Ferguson, age 84 years, who died with a heart ailment. She was born in Greenville, South Carolina, came to this country when she was 9 years old, and has lived in Winn Parish practically ever since. She was the daughter of Rev. D. K. Boddie who was a Methodist minister. She was a member of the Methodist Church here and in her younger days before her health failed was active in church work and believed in putting God first in her heart. Rev. Lula Wardlow, pastor of Atlanta church assisted by Rev. Tilman Brown of Montgomery and Bro. Geo. Eden of Atlanta Baptist Church were in charge of the services. Burial was under direction of Edmonds funeral home of Jonesboro. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. J. J. Bell, Atlanta; Miss Margaret Ferguson, of Dallas, Tex.; one grandson, David Bell; one great granddaughter, Mary Margarette Bell, of Dallas, Tex. She also has several nieces and nephews who survive her. Pallbearers were D. B. Boddie, G. H. Pharis, E. H. Boddie, Clifton Pecor, and Charlie Wilson.
