All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: March 20, 1930 Winn Parish Enterprise Funeral Services For Curtis Fick Held Wednesday Dies After Sudden Stroke Tuesday; Interment in Winnfield Cemetery Death claimed Curtis Christy Fick, Tuesday night at 7:10 after a hemorrhage of the brain earlier in the morning. Mr. Fick, an employee of the T. & G. Shops, left home Tuesday morning in fine health. He became unconscious about eight o'clock and never revived. Mr. Fick was 34 years of age. He was born in St. Joseph, Mo., and moved here when a lad with his parents. About eight years ago he was married to Miss Annie Shipman of Joyce, to them three children were born. Funeral services were held at the First Methodist Church, Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock, the Rev. Wier, pastor, having charge of the services, assisted by the Rev. Stokes and the Rev. Cullen. Interment was in the Winnfield Cemetery. A large concourse of friends attended the last rites. Pallbearers were: J. T. Steen, H. F. Holstead, J. E. Gassiott, Herman Pelz, James Dowdell and J. T. Warren. The deceased is survived by his wife, three small children, Lillie Ruth, Curtis, Jr., and J. B.; his mother, Mrs. J. B. Fick of Winnfield and two brothers, Harold of Pensacola, Fla, who arrived here Wednesday for the services, and Clarence, of Portland, Ore., who was unable to attend on account of distance and health.
