J. Finelle, 50, of Shreveport died suddenly Tuesday morning in a taxicab enroute to a Shreveport jewelry store. His death, reports at the coroner's office said, was due to natural causes. Finelle called a Red Top cab to make the trip from his home to the downtown section but a few moments after entering the cab he began coughing violently. The driver seeing that Finelle was in distress, and that he had begun to turn blue, took him to the hospital. Finelle, however, was dead upon arrival at the hospital. Mr. Finelle had been with the L. & A. Railway for 20 years. At the time of his death he was foreman of the maintenance of way department. He and his family resided here a number of years and he was well known in this parish. Surviving are his widow; one daughter, Mrs. L. L. Hendricks of Sherman, Texas; one son, Drew Finelle, Alexandria; two sisters, Mrs. C. L. Ray of Calvin and Mrs. A. T. Morlan of Bastrop.
