Finney Succumbs After Long Illness Mrs. Lois Laurine Finney, 61, died at 3:15 a.m. Friday, March 3, 1972 at her home on Route 1, Winnfield, after a long illness. Mrs. Finney was a native of Keota, Oklahoma and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. Survivors are her husband, George Finney of Winnfield; one son, John Edward Finney of Shreveport; three daughters, Mrs. Edna Jean Howell of Winnfield, Mrs. Betty Louise Ray of Minden, and Mrs. Patsy Humphrey of Shreveport; a brother, Archie Bryan of Winnfield; and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Southern Funeral Home Chapel with Marlin Connor officiating. Burial was in Winnfield City Cemetery. Pallbearers included Bob Taylor, R. D. Skains, Jr., Eugene Love, Ronnie Taylor, Tommy Straughan, and Troy Lynn Smith.
