Mrs. Maude Fisher Formerly of Sikes Dies in Monroe

Funeral services for Mrs. Maude May Fisher, 42, who died in a Monroe hospital
Wednesday of last week were held the following day.  Interment was in a Monroe
Cemetery.

Mrs. Fisher, the former Maude May Mayes, was a native of Sikes and the
daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. H. V. Mayes.

Surviving are her husband, Lonnie Fisher and son Jack Fisher of Monroe; two
sisters, Mrs. H. P. Thorpe, Delhi, and Mrs. Ethel Brown, Alexandria; two
brothers, Muchel Mayes, Minden, and F. A. Mayes, Delhi; an uncle, Chris
Newsome and other relatives of Sikes.
