Native of Sikes Buried in Monroe Tuesday, Dec. 16

Funeral services for Mrs. Maudie Mae Mayes Fisher, native of Sikes, were held
in Temple Baptist Church, Monroe, December 18, following her death, which
occurred in a Monroe hospital on Dec. 16.  Interment was in Memorial Cemetery,
Monroe.

Mrs. Fisher is survived by two brothers, S. A. Mayes of Delhi and Machel Mayes
of Doyline; two sisters, Mrs. Van Tharpe of Delhi and Mrs. Ethel Brown of
Alexandria; her husband, and one son, Jack Fisher of Monroe.

She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Vander Mayes of Sikes.
