Fitch Held October 11 Mrs. Cora M. Fitch, 74, native of Red River Parish and long time resident of Winnfield, died in a Winnfield hospital at 12:30 noon Wednesday, October 10, 1962. She had been in ill health a number of years. Mrs. Fitch was a member of the First Methodist Church and was widely known in the Winn Parish and surrounding area, having represented a cosmetic firm here for many years. Last rites were conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday at Southern Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. R. H. Staples officiating. Burial was in the Winnfield Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were J. P. Warren, Harper Terrill, Eddie Powell, E. E. Crooks, H. H. Smith, Jr., and Ray Eagles. Mrs. Fitch is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Frank (Verda) Ray of Shreveport; two grandchildren and six great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
