Mrs. M. O. Fittz, 84, Called By Death Saturday

Mrs. Malce O. Fittz, 84, mother of the late Dr. S. C. Fittz, died Saturday,
August 16, at 11:20 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S. M. Brian.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Methodist
Church with Rev. Alwin Stokes in charge.  Rev. Fred Flurry assisted with the
services.  Interment was in the Winnfield Cemetery under direction of Hixson
Funeral Home.

Mrs. Fittz, an energetic person even until a short while before her death, was
known for her unselfish sacrifices to other people.  She resided in Winnfield
for many years.

Besides her daughter, Mrs. Brian, she leaves two sisters, Mrs. F. P. Jones of
Leesville and Mrs. J. W. Teddlie of Winnfield; five grandchildren, Miss Eula
Brian of Winnfield, Sam Brian of Winnfield, Sol Brian, Clyde Fittz and Miss
Malcy Fittz of New Orleans; three great grandchildren, Sammy Brian and Octavia
Brian of Winnfield and Rudolph Brian of Ringgold.

Pallbearers were Sam Brian, John Teddlie, F. P. Jones, Jessie Sanford, Samuel
Clyde Fittz, and Curry Ford.
