C. Fletcher, Grant Native, Buried Sept. 15 Richard C. Fletcher, 80, of Montgomery, died at 4 a.m. September 13, 1969 at a Shreveport nursing home after a long illness. He was a retired elevator operator, a native of Grant Parish, and for a number of years resided in Winnfield with his family who are well known in this area. Funeral services were held Monday at 10 a.m. in a Shreveport funeral home chapel with the Rev. J. Odis Dumas, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Shreveport, officiating. Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bennie Mae Fletcher; a son, R. C. Fletcher, Jr., of Shreveport; two daughters, Mrs. C. L. Copeland of Shreveport and Mrs. Don Boyette of Sacramento, California; three brothers, G. A. Fletcher of Montgomery and W. L. Fletcher and J. N. Fletcher, both of Colfax; a sister, Mrs. T. O. Harrison of Verda, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Among those from Winnfield attending the last rites were Mrs. Gladys Boyette and Mrs. Dan Spencer.
