Graveside services were conducted by Rev. Alwin Stokes. Burial was under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Mr. Flournoy, a native of Mississippi, had lived in Winnfield for many years. He followed the trade of barbering. He was a veteran of World War One, and had been employed in a State office in Baton Rouge at the time of his illness. He lived in Winnfield on Horseshoe Road. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Flournoy, of Winnfield; one son, Billy, with the U. S. Navy in Norfolk, Va.; one brother, Asa Flournoy of Alexandria; and one sister, Mrs. Lomax Chandler of Pollock.
