William Clarence  "Bill" Flournoy, Jr., age 82, of Winnfield, La., passed away 

Monday, January 17, 2005, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, 

La. 



Mr. Flournoy was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Winnfield, the 

Winnfield Kiwanis Club, the WSHS Quarterback Club and was co-Grand Marshal in 

the 2004 Winnfield Christmas Parade.

He was retired as a Chief Petty Officer from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of 

distinguished service and was a veteran of WWII.





He was the son of the late William Flournoy and the late Mary (Fuller) 

Flournoy.



He is survived by his wife Doris (Hargrove) Flournoy; 



Two Daughters,

Daughter-Candace Franklin and her husband Curtis of Slidell, La.

Daughter-Taffy Creel and her husband Porter of Winnfield, La.



One Son,

Son-Brett Flournoy and his wife Shelley of Colleyville, Texas        



Six Grandchildren,

Christy Van Blaricum, Chase Creel, Chad Creel, Chesney Baxley, Erin Flournoy, 

and Robert Haaker



Seven Great Grandchildren,

Alexandra Van Blaricum, Shelby Creel, Autumn Van Blaricum, Landon Creel, 

Morgan Creel, Madalyn Creel, and Olivia Baxley



Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home, 202 E. Lafayette 

St., Winnfield, La., where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 

9:00 PM Wednesday,  and from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM Thursday.  Funeral services 

will be at Southern Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 AM Thursday, January 20, 2005 

with, Rev. Connie Collins and Rev. Clovis Sturdivant officiating.  Interment 

will be at Garden Of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield, La.
