Death Claims F. V. Floyd Saturday in Alexandria

F. V. Floyd, 78 years of age, died at the Baptist Hospital, Alexandria,
Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock following an illness of several months.

Funeral services were held in the Midway Church.  Interment was in the Belah
Cemetery.

F. V. Floyd was born in Mississippi and came to Louisiana when a young man.

He was a resident of Winn Parish for several years but at the time of his
death he was living in Jena.

Mr. Floyd's former wife preceded him in death 15 years ago.  His latter wife
survives him.  Also nine children survive.  They are: Mrs. J. P. Hemphill of
Winnfield; Mrs. Sallie Weems of Baskin; Mrs. Martha Bass of Walters; Mrs. Ed
Chevalier of Walters; Ulis Floyd, Dr. W. H. Floyd, J. C. Floyd, of Jena;
Charlie Floyd of Walters and Dave Floyd of Pineville, and one brother, William
Floyd of Jena.
