All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: January 9, 1942 Winnfield News-American Heart Attack Fatal To Everett Felix Wednesday, Jan. 7 Stricken with a sudden heart attack while riding in his automobile, Everett Daniel Felix died while being taken to a local clinic Wednesday afternoon about four thirty o'clock. The deceased, the son of Mrs. Lillie A. Felix and the late Charles Felix, was born in Olaton, Ky., in 1894, and moved to Winnfield with his parents while a small boy. For the past twenty years, with the exception of about four years when he was employed at the local highway maintenance office, he has operated a taxi service. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the First Baptist Church, of which he was a member. Rites will be conducted by the Rev. H. H. McBride, pastor, assisted by the Rev. Alwin Stokes, pastor of the Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Lillie A. Felix and two sisters, Mrs. Lela Mae Culpepper of New Orleans and Miss Mary Elizabeth Felix of Winnfield.
