A native of Colfax, he was a retired machine operator. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Roy Folden of Winnfield; three sons, Robert L. Folden of West Monroe, Rodden D. Folden and Glen R. Folden, both of Winnfield; six daughters, Mrs. Ozie J. Ross, Mrs. Billy H. Williams, Mrs. Gerald J. Barton, all of Winnfield, Mrs. Thomas M. Mitchell of West Monroe, Mrs. Troy W. Wade of Chatham, and Mrs. Wilmer C. Barton of Joyce; four brothers, Guy Folden of Winnfield, E. W. Folden of Monroe, Ben Folden of Tyler, Texas, and Veral Folden of Vicksburg, Miss.; four sisters, Mrs. T. A. Butcher of Minden, Mrs. Eunice Flacy and Mrs. George Pepper and Mrs. Louise Redden, all of Monroe; and 22 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Southern Funeral Home with burial in the Hurricane Grove Cemetery.
