Mother of Mrs. J. R. Madden, Jr., Dies Monday

Mrs. Loy Ford, mother of Mrs. J. R. Madden, Jr., of Choudrant, died Monday
after several weeks of illness.  She resided in Choudrant, but she has visited
in Winnfield and has many friends here.

Funeral services were held Wednesday.  Cpl. J. R. Madden, Jr., who is in
service at Fort Riley, Kansas, was released from his duties to attend the
funeral ceremonies.  Cpl. and Mrs. Madden are now in Winnfield for a visit
with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Madden, Sr.
