Connell Fort, Former Mayor of Minden, Dies
     Connell Fort, 69-year-old former mayor of Minden, died February
28th and was buried at Minden March 1st.  Mr. Fort served in various
municipal and parish offices for nearly 40 years, 16 of which were spent
as a member of the Minden City council.
     He was an uncle of Tom Fort of Winnfield.
