Fort Buried at Couley Monday, May 31 Mrs. P. F. Fort, 55, who suffered a stroke a month ago at her home at Fort's Camp, Saline Lake, died in the Corkern Clinic, Natchitoches, Saturday, May 29, 1948, at 1 p.m. Funeral services were conducted at the Couley Methodist Church at 3 p.m. Monday with the Rev. C. M. Robinson officiating. Interment was in the Couley Cemetery, with numerous friends from North and Central Louisiana attending the last rites. A native of the Couley community, the deceased before her marriage was Miss Cordy Kelley. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband of Fort's Camp, one son, Don L. Fort, and two grandchildren of Natchitoches; and two brothers, Luke and Dennis Kelley of Couley. Acting as pallbearers were Percy Roberts, J. K. McLure, Lee Grigsby, of Winnfield and tree citizens of Natchitoches, La.
