G. B. Foster, were conducted at Sardis Church Thursday at 3 p.m. by the Rev. A. H. Cullen, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Winnfield, with interment at Sardis Cemetery. Mrs. Foster's death occurred Wednesday, march 26, after five years of failing health. Mrs. Foster was 60 years old, mother of twelve children, eight of whom survive her. They are Mrs. R. L. Barton, Emerson, Ark., Mrs. J. W. Lasyone, Mrs. E. H. Lasyone, Verda, Mrs. O. B. Leary, Winnfield; W. T. Foster, Murphy J. Foster, Verda; J. R. Foster, H. H. Foster, Winnfield. There are 23 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Rev. and Mrs. Foster were married in 1886. Mrs. Foster was a native of Ouachita Parish, joined the Missionary Baptist Church at Cypress Creek, when sixteen years old and was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church at her death. She was also survived by one brother, Tom Richardson of Liddieville, who with his son, Elisha, and two grandchildren, attended the funeral.
