Mrs. Elizabeth Pyburn Foster, 67, native of Winn Parish and member of a prominent pioneer Dodson family, died Sunday morning in a Jonesboro hospital after a long illness. Funeral services were in Jonesboro Monday at 2:30 p.m. with burial in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Mrs. Foster was born in Gansville community in Ward Four of Winn Parish, and lived in Dodson for a number of years. She was a graduate of Louisiana Tech in music. Surviving are her husband, E. S. Foster of Jonesboro; five daughters, Nadine of Jonesboro, Mrs. Nedra Odom, Mrs. John C. Allen, Mrs. Joe White, all of Baton Rouge, and Mrs. Gordon Allen of Shreveport; two sons, E. S. Foster, Jr., of Jonesboro, and Neal Foster of Dallas, Texas; 10 grandchildren; three sisters, Miss Helen Pyburn of Hammond, Miss Mary Sue Pyburn of Ruston, Miss Nita Pyburn of Tallahassee, Florida; four brothers, Dwight Pyburn of Shreveport, Dewitt Pyburn of Baton Rouge, Hiram Pyburn of Ruston, and Keith Pyburn of Washington, D. C.
